Turkey's October Consumer Price Index Rises 32.87% Year-on-Year
Data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on November 3 showed that the country's Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.55% month-on-month and 32.87% year-on-year in October 2025, marking the lowest level in nearly 47 months.
Breakdown data revealed that the highest increase was in education, with an annual rise of 65.69%, followed by housing at 50.96%. Clothing and footwear saw the smallest increase, at just 7.98%.
Since inflation peaked at around 85% in October 2022, Turkey's inflation has significantly declined. Particularly from the second half of 2024, the Consumer Price Index has shown an overall downward trend. Nevertheless, the country's central bank emphasized that the high inflation situation has not yet been fundamentally alleviated and that it will continue to implement various relevant policies until the inflation rate stabilizes at a lower level in the long term.
