Trump Warns Putin: End the Russia-Ukraine War, Don't Test Nuclear-Powered Missiles!

According to comprehensive reports from CCTV News and other media outlets, Russian President Vladimir Putin recently announced the completion of "decisive tests" for the "Burevestnik" nuclear-powered cruise missile. US President Donald Trump responded on Monday, stating that Putin should end the war in Ukraine instead of testing nuclear-powered cruise missiles, adding that "it's not appropriate for him to say that."

Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to Putin that the "Burevestnik" cruise missile had completed a 14,000-kilometer (8,700-mile) flight without reaching its maximum range. The missile flew for approximately 15 hours and successfully demonstrated its ability to evade anti-missile systems.

In response, Trump stated in an interview aboard Air Force One, "The Russians know we have a nuclear submarine near their coast. So, what I'm saying is, it (the 'Burevestnik' nuclear-powered cruise missile) doesn't need to fly 8,000 miles. They are not playing games with us, and we are not playing games with them. We have been testing missiles continuously."

Regarding Trump's latest remarks, the Kremlin responded that Russia would be guided by its own national interests but simultaneously stated that the test launch of the "Burevestnik" missile would not escalate tensions in US-Russia relations, as bilateral ties are already at their lowest level.

Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated, "Although we are open to dialogue with the United States, Russia, and first and foremost the President of Russia, is guided by our own national interests. This was the case in the past, is the case now, and will be the case in the future."

"Nothing can, nor should, strain relations between Moscow and Washington. So far, only preliminary, tentative steps have been taken by the sides to try to pull bilateral relations out of the previous deadlock," he added.
