China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Leads Chinese Entrepreneur Delegation on Visit to Malaysia
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs on a visit to Malaysia from the 24th to the 27th. The delegation attended the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and visited Selangor to inspect a semiconductor industrial park and ongoing projects of Chinese-invested enterprises.
As the rotating chair of the East Asia Business Council (EABC), CCPIT put forward policy recommendations on behalf of the industrial and commercial sectors in East Asia. Witnessed by representatives of the Malaysian government, the current ASEAN chair, CCPIT and the Malaysia-China Business Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the ASEAN-China-Gulf Cooperation Council Business Council.
During the visit, CCPIT President Ren Hongbin held separate meetings and exchanges with representatives from Malaysian government departments, major business associations, and heads of chambers of commerce and industry from multiple ASEAN countries. He emphasized that CCPIT will work hand in hand with the industrial and commercial sectors of ASEAN to deepen practical multilateral and bilateral cooperation, jointly maintain the stability and smooth flow of regional industrial and supply chains, and make greater contributions to building an even closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
