Delegations from Qatar, Türkiye, and US Arrive in Egypt for New Round of Gaza Ceasefire Talks

CCTV reporters learned on the 7th that Egyptian sources revealed that day that Egypt is intensifying efforts with all parties to reach an agreement and clarify the mechanisms and procedures required to implement the US "20-point plan." Currently, delegations from Qatar, Türkiye, and the United States have successively arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, to participate in the new round of peace talks. The US delegation is led by US Special Envoy for Middle East Issues, Whit科夫.

Sources confirmed that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has expressed willingness to hand over all Israeli hostages, including survivors and the remains of the deceased. Hamas also demands clarity on the mechanisms and procedures required to implement the US "20-point plan" and seeks guarantees that Israel will not re-invade Gaza. Furthermore, Egypt has begun discussions with Hamas regarding the list of Palestinian detainees to be released from Israeli prisons according to the exchange agreement.

The new round of Gaza ceasefire talks took place on the 6th and 7th in the coastal city of Sharm El-Sheikh in northern Egypt and are expected to continue on the 8th.
