Putin: All Goals Set by the Special Military Operation Must Be Unconditionally Achieved
During a meeting with commanders from the Russian Defense Ministry, General Staff, and Special Military Operation forces on the 7th, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the strategic initiative is now entirely in the hands of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Defense enterprises are delivering various high-precision weapons, missiles, ammunition, and military equipment according to plan. Meanwhile, the development of the latest combat weapons and their deployment to troops are progressing at an accelerated pace.
Putin pointed out that Ukrainian forces are continuously retreating along the entire contact line. Ukraine's strikes on purely civilian facilities in deep-lying areas of Russia are intended to demonstrate results to its Western "sponsors." Russia's task is to ensure the safety of Russian citizens, protect strategic facilities, and safeguard civilian infrastructure, including energy installations.
Putin emphasized that the overall mission of the Russian military remains unchanged—all goals set by the special military operation must be unconditionally achieved.
In his report, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Gerasimov stated that Russian troops continue combat operations, advancing on nearly all fronts, while Ukrainian forces strive to stabilize the frontline situation and slow down the Russian offensive.
