
Net Inflows Exceed 430 Billion Yuan This Year; Medium- to Long-Term Funds Accelerate Allocation in Shanghai Stock Market ETFs
The domestic ETF market continues to attract capital deployment, serving as an important tool for investors to conveniently capture market opportunities. Data shows that since the beginning of this year, the net capital inflow into the Shanghai stock market ETF market has exceeded 430 billion yuan, accounting for over 70% of the domestic total. The market capitalization has increased by 1.3 trillion yuan, with medium- to long-term funds such as insurance, bank wealth management, enterprise annuities, and social security funds contributing over 20% to the scale increment. Capital primarily flowed into important broad-based ETFs and Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) ETFs.
As of now, the total scale of domestic ETFs is approximately 5.5 trillion yuan, surpassing Japan to become the largest ETF market in Asia. Among these, Shanghai stock market ETFs account for over 70% of the scale. Currently, the scale of Shanghai stock market ETFs has reached 3.9 trillion yuan, including 2.6 trillion yuan in equity ETFs and over 530 billion yuan in bond ETFs. There are more than 760 Shanghai stock market ETF products, with approximately 10 million participating accounts.
Taking Shanghai broad-based ETFs as an example, as of now, their scale exceeds 1.8 trillion yuan. Since the beginning of this year, about 60 broad-based ETFs have been listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, tracking important indices such as the SSE 180, CSI A500, STAR Market Composite Index, and STAR 50.
Regarding STAR Market ETFs, as of now, there are 102 STAR Market ETF products with a total scale of nearly 300 billion yuan. Among them, there are 59 STAR Market broad-based ETFs with a combined scale of 215 billion yuan. Their investment targets cover indices such as the STAR 50, STAR 100, STAR 200, and STAR Market Composite Index, fully meeting investors' needs for large-cap, mid-cap, small-cap, and comprehensive investments in the STAR Market. There are 37 STAR Market sector-themed ETFs with a combined scale of 75.7 billion yuan. The细分 sectors covered by their investment targets include key areas of new quality productivity such as artificial intelligence, new energy, chips, and innovative drugs.
