Deploying Geespace Global Business! Geespace Global Headquarters Established in Hangzhou with RMB 2 Billion Investment

On September 19, Geespace, a subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhejiang Financial Holding Investment Co., Ltd., Hangzhou State-owned Capital Investment and Operation Co., Ltd., and Hangzhou High-tech Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd. The company also announced that it had received RMB 2 billion in investment from the Zhejiang New Energy Vehicle Industry Fund.

The funds will be exclusively used for the construction of the global headquarters and the development of Geespace's global business.

According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the parties will carry out project investment cooperation and jointly build a communication satellite highland through market-oriented operations.

Currently, Geespace, which is fully self-designed, developed, constructed, and operated by Geespace, is about to complete the first-phase network construction. By then, including test satellites, there will be 64 satellites in orbit, achieving real-time communication coverage anywhere on the Earth's surface except the North and South Poles.

In the future, with the full deployment of the first-phase 72 satellites, the constellation will achieve 3 to 4 layers of real-time coverage within the global coverage area, further enhancing communication capacity and service reliability.

It is reported that Geespace's constellation business has been deployed in the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Latin America, and has cooperated with more than 20 national operators to promote global large-scale commercial applications. After the constellation is completed, it will be applied in fields such as intelligent connected vehicles, marine fisheries, engineering machinery, low-altitude mobility, emergency communication, transportation and logistics, public facilities, energy and water conservancy, and agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry.

The "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" previously visited Geely's satellite super factory. The factory currently has an annual production capacity of 500 satellites, with a daily output of 1-2 satellites, which can support global constellation construction.
