
On Friday (September 19), local time, the three major U.S. stock indices collectively closed higher and hit record highs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.37% to 46,315.27 points, the S&P 500 increased 0.49% to 6,664.36 points, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.72% to 22,631.48 points. For the week, the Dow rose 1.05%, the S&P 500 climbed 1.22%, and the Nasdaq advanced 2.21%.
The three major European stock indices closed slightly lower. Germany’s DAX index fell 0.15% to 23,639.41 points, France’s CAC 40 dipped 0.01% to 7,853.59 points, and the UK’s FTSE 100 declined 0.12% to 9,216.67 points. For the week, the DAX dropped 0.25%, the CAC 40 rose 0.36%, and the FTSE 100 fell 0.72%.
Chinese stocks were mixed, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index down 0.25%. Among individual stocks, Pony.ai surged nearly 19%, EHang Holdings gained over 5%, Daqo New Energy rose nearly 5%, while JinkoSolar and Lufax Holdings both increased over 3%. On the downside, 21Vianet dropped over 3%, Vipshop fell more than 2%, and Hesai Technology declined nearly 2%. Notably, two Chinese stocks saw significant gains: AGM Group surged over 700% during the session and closed with a gain of over 360%, while Chijet Motor jumped over 200% during the day and ended about 187% higher.
