Seres’ Zhou Lin: "Integration and Innovation" is the Key to Breaking Through in the Automotive Industry
At the recently held 2025 China Automotive Industry Development (TEDA) International Forum, Zhou Lin, Chief Technology Officer of Seres Group, shared the company’s innovative practices and insights in the new energy vehicle sector. He proposed a development path centered on "cross-disciplinary technology integration, ecological collaboration, and systemic breakthroughs."
Zhou Lin stated that new energy vehicles are the product of deep integration of cutting-edge technologies from multiple disciplines and fields. In terms of intelligent-electric integration, through continuous exploration and innovation, Seres’ intelligent range-extending system has achieved smart recognition and adaptive control for over 1,100 scenarios. Additionally, via a cloud-based AI intelligent hub, it provides millisecond-level holographic safety monitoring for more than 700 parameters, establishing a closed-loop battery safety system.
In terms of hardware-software integration, Seres has developed a vehicle architecture characterized by "pluggable hardware, programmable scenarios, on-demand ecology, and self-evolving systems" through a combination of "hardware base + software base + ecological base," significantly enhancing the user experience.
Based on this, Seres and Huawei jointly launched the AITO brand, pioneering cross-industry collaboration between the automotive and ICT sectors. Meanwhile, Seres actively promotes the integration and aggregation of the industrial chain, collaborating with leading global suppliers to build a reliable, resilient, and协同创新的新型集成化产业链. For example, the "factory within a factory" model pioneered by Seres has significantly improved product quality and production efficiency, achieving highly efficient collaboration within the industrial chain.
In the context of globalization, the automotive industry needs to achieve resonance at the macro, meso, and micro levels. Zhou Lin emphasized: "Two-way empowerment between domestic and overseas markets, the development of supporting systems for both pre- and after-markets, and balanced collaboration among various enterprise elements are key to achieving systemic breakthroughs." Currently, Seres is steadily advancing its overseas market布局, continuously enhancing its influence in the international market.
"With technological integration, ecological collaboration, and systemic breakthroughs, China’s automotive industry can truly achieve a gear shift in overall efficiency and ultimately realize a fundamental leap in industrial competitiveness," Zhou Lin stated. He added that Seres will continue to steadfastly focus on the innovative development practices of intelligent electric vehicles.
