Musk Denies Pausing Formation of "American Party"; Vance: Don’t Pretend a Third Party Can Bring Change

In response to recent U.S. media reports about renowned American entrepreneur Elon Musk pausing the formation of an "American Party," Musk denied the claims on social media on the 20th, criticizing the reports as inaccurate. However, U.S. Vice President Vance warned Musk against forming a third party on the same day, stating that Musk could exert greater influence by "remaining loyal" to Trump and the Republican Party.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Musk is quietly putting the brakes on his plan to form a new political party. Citing sources familiar with the matter, the report stated that Musk has informed allies that he wishes to focus on his businesses and is reluctant to alienate Republicans by creating a third party that could split Republican votes.

Musk responded on social media platform X on the 20th: "Nothing stated by The Wall Street Journal should be taken as fact."

During an interview with Fox News on the same day, Vance said, "My advice to Elon (Musk) is to try to fix the Republican Party, to try to push it in your own way. You can oppose me, oppose the U.S. president, as much as you want, but don’t pretend a third party can bring change."

Vance urged Musk to remain loyal to Trump and the Republican Party: "I think if Elon (Musk) remains loyal to President Trump’s Republican Party, it will bring about greater change. If he has disagreements, he should express them from within, not from the outside."
