Robot Industry Index Surges Over 15% in Three Months, Marking a "Renewed Breakout"

  • 2025-07-28

Against the backdrop of continuous industrial technological advancement and reduced global uncertainties, market attention on the technology sector is steadily recovering. Among these, humanoid robots, as a typical representative of new quality productivity, are seeing their investment value become increasingly prominent.

From an investment logic and cost-performance perspective, the technology sector did not experience significant gains during the last rotation cycle of innovative drugs/new consumption. Indices such as robotics have returned to levels seen in early February this year, and market sentiment is in a recovery phase. With the gradual digestion of overseas demand fluctuations and the steady recovery of domestic demand—exemplified by leading humanoid robot manufacturers recently winning orders from China Mobile for robots—the robotics sector is poised for a catch-up rally driven by fundamentals.

This industrial opportunity is rare, and more elastic targets may help investors achieve greater returns. Since the revision of the National Securities Robot Industry Index on April 10, 2025, as of July 15, the index has surged by 15.8% in just three months, outperforming peer indices.

The high elasticity of the National Securities Robot Industry Index fundamentally stems from its compilation methodology. After this year's revision, the index's humanoid robot characteristics have become more distinct, with the weight of humanoid robot-related component stocks significantly higher than that of industrial robots and service robots. The top ten component stocks mainly include humanoid robot-related companies such as SZZD, Leader Harmonious Drive, ESTUN, and MOONS', reflecting a markedly different focus compared to similar indices. Therefore, when the humanoid robot segment gains attention, the National Securities Robot Industry Index can more accurately align with investors' actual needs and preferences.
