The 8th International Diving, Salvage & Marine Engineering Equipment Exhibition Focuses on New Drivers of the Marine Economy
The 8th International Diving, Salvage & Marine Engineering Equipment Exhibition, themed "Focusing on New Drivers of the Marine Economy, Promoting High-Quality Development of the Diving Economy," opened in Xiamen on November 7. Over a thousand pieces of cutting-edge equipment and technologies in the fields of diving, salvage, and marine engineering were displayed at the exhibition.
Chen Biwu, Chairman of the China Diving & Salvage Association (CDSA), stated that the exhibition aims to build a platform for information exchange, technology promotion, and trade cooperation among government departments, scientific research institutions, universities, colleges, and water-related enterprises in areas such as marine resource development, marine engineering construction, maritime traffic safety, water emergency rescue, marine fishery production, and marine tourism development.
The exhibition covered a display area of 20,000 square meters, featuring multiple high-tech zones including offshore engineering vessels, rescue vessels, public service vessels, diving equipment, offshore new energy equipment, marine exploration and surveying equipment, emergency rescue equipment, comprehensive marine services, maritime aircraft, marine fisheries, and municipal engineering diving equipment. Over a thousand exhibits and services were showcased, with more than a hundred leading industry exhibitors participating.
Reporters at the exhibition saw the impressive debut of advanced equipment and technologies such as the world's first 100,000-ton "Deep Sea No.1" energy station, the 14,000-kilowatt large professional rescue vessel "NANHAIJIU 103," the self-propelled integrated transport and installation vessel for immersed tunnels, the Qianjiao X100 intelligent omnidirectional current-resistant underwater robot, the "Xin Hong Zhuan" vessel integrating autonomous navigation with teaching and training functions, and the "Manyang Weilan" unmanned ship for offshore oil spill emergency response.
At the concurrently held 10th International Diving, Salvage & Marine Engineering Equipment Technology Forum, over a hundred domestic and international experts discussed technologies for diving, salvage, and marine engineering equipment. Song Jiahui, Director of the Expert Committee of the CDSA, stated that equipment for ocean development is upgrading from "labor-intensive" to "technology-intensive" and "intelligence-empowered," with "technological innovation" as the core engine.
This exhibition was jointly organized by the China Diving & Salvage Association (CDSA), the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI), and the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). Established in June 2008, the CDSA currently has over 1,000 member units and is a national industry organization encompassing various types of diving, salvage, and marine engineering construction.
