EU Launches Third Sunset Review of Anti-Dumping Measures on Canned Citrus Fruits from China

According to China Trade Remedy Information网, on October 21, the European Commission announced the initiation of the third sunset review of anti-dumping measures on prepared or preserved citrus fruits originating in China, following an application submitted by FENAVAL on July 21, 2025. This review will examine whether the dumping of and injury to the EU domestic industry caused by the product concerned would continue or recur if the existing anti-dumping measures were allowed to lapse. The EU Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes of the product involved are 2008 30 55, 2008 30 75, and ex 2008 30 90 (TARIC codes 2008 30 90 61, 2008 30 90 63, 2008 30 90 65, 2008 30 90 67, and 2008 30 90 69). The investigation period for dumping in this sunset review is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, while the injury investigation period covers from October 1, 2022, to the end of the dumping investigation period.

On October 20, 2007, the EU initiated an anti-dumping investigation on prepared or preserved citrus fruits originating in China. On December 30, 2008, the EU made an affirmative final ruling in this case. On October 25, 2013, the EU launched the first sunset review of the anti-dumping measures on prepared or preserved citrus fruits from China. On December 11, 2014, the EU issued the final ruling of the first sunset review. On December 10, 2019, the European Commission initiated the second sunset review of the anti-dumping measures on prepared or preserved citrus fruits from China. On October 22, 2020, the European Commission announced the final ruling of the second sunset review.
