
U.S.-Russia Presidential Phone Call Concludes; Trump: May Meet with Putin Within Two Weeks
October 17 (China News Network) — According to a BBC report, on the 16th local time, U.S. President Trump stated that he had just concluded a phone conversation with Russian President Putin, calling the talk "highly productive."
It was reported that Trump said he would meet with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and inform him of the content of his call with Putin. Trump also mentioned that he might hold "separate but equal" meetings with Putin and Zelenskyy respectively, and the meeting with Putin could take place in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, within the next two weeks.
Trump stated that during the call with Putin, the two discussed topics related to Tomahawk missiles. Trump expressed that the United States also needs Tomahawk missiles.
Trump added that he "joked about U.S.-produced missiles" during his conversation with Putin.
Earlier on the 16th, Trump said he had a lengthy call with Putin, mainly discussing ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict and subsequent U.S.-Russia trade issues.
