ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming made his first public appearance in recent years, showing up at the Shanghai Xuhui Zhichun Innovation Center. According to an announcement from the Zhichun Innovation Center, on October 9, the Shanghai Xuhui Zhichun Innovation Center, co-founded by ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming and Professor Yu Yong, founder of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University ACM Class, officially opened. As a private non-profit organization, the center plans to recruit young people interested in broad computer science and artificial intelligence, starting as junior research fellows.

In his on-site speech, Zhang Yiming mentioned that he has long been focused on talent recruitment and cultivation, noting that much potential remains untapped. Therefore, the innovation center aims to nurture individuals with active minds, passion, and resilience. The core principles are independent thinking, emphasis on practical application, a focus on long-term and holistic development, learning through exploration, maintaining a balanced mindset, staying relaxed and confident, and embracing uncertainty.
