China-ASEAN AI Innovation Cooperation Center Has Signed Over 60 Projects

On the 3rd, it was learned from relevant departments in Nanning, Guangxi that as of the end of August this year, the China-ASEAN Artificial Intelligence Innovation Cooperation Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Nanning AI Center") has signed 51 domestic projects and 16 projects from ASEAN countries.

Currently, technological innovation represented by artificial intelligence is developing rapidly. Guangxi is actively advancing the construction of the Nanning AI Center, designating 7.78 square kilometers in the core area of Nanning to collaborate with ASEAN countries in building a core node in Nanning. Additionally, multiple sub-centers have been established in ASEAN countries and other key domestic cities to further strengthen the role of artificial intelligence in connecting the two major economic blocs of China and ASEAN.

Relying on the China-ASEAN Information Harbor and the Nanning International Communication Service Gateway, Guangxi is building infrastructure such as trusted data spaces and international data centers, creating windows for international cooperation like application scenario exhibition centers and international cooperation centers. Currently, projects such as the exhibition center and incubation zone of the Nanning AI Center are being fully advanced.

As a frontier and hub city for China's opening-up and cooperation with ASEAN, Nanning is striving to build a new highland for the artificial intelligence industry oriented toward ASEAN. The Nanning AI Center will serve as a public service portal, exchange and exhibition window, operational management hub, and capital empowerment platform for China-ASEAN AI innovation cooperation.

According to the Nanning Municipal Data Bureau, as of the end of August this year, the Nanning AI Center has collected over 450 application scenario cases in the field of artificial intelligence, covering areas such as smart healthcare, transportation, and social governance. It has released over 100 AI scenario opportunity lists, including more than 30 "opportunity lists" and over 60 "ASEAN application scenarios." Some outstanding application scenario cases will be exhibited during the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo in mid-September.
