A-Share Midday Review: ChiNext Index Rises 2.34% in Morning Session, Lithium Battery and Energy Metal Sectors Surge Collectively

The three major A-share indices collectively rose in the morning session. As of the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.16%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.93%, and the ChiNext Index advanced 2.34%. The Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index increased by 2.47%. The combined turnover of the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets reached 1,875.2 billion yuan in the morning session, an increase of 67 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 2,000 stocks gained across the market.

In terms of sectors, lithium batteries, baijiu (white liquor), insurance, innovative drugs, and non-ferrous metals led the gains. Semiconductor, computing power, lithography machines, and Zhipu AI technology sectors were among the decliners.

During the session, insurance stocks initially surged, with New China Insurance (601336) hitting the daily limit up before pulling back. Baijiu stocks rebounded collectively, with Shede Liquor (600702), Jiugui Liquor (000799), and Wuliangye (000858) all rising. The lithium battery sector rallied during the session, with Contemporary Amperex Technology (300750) surging over 10%. Innovative drug concept stocks also rebounded significantly, with Kangchen Pharmaceuticals (603590) and Huahai Pharmaceuticals (600521) among those hitting the daily limit up. The semiconductor and computing power sectors adjusted today, with Cambricon falling over 8% at one point during the early session. Northern Huachuang (002371), Chengdu Huawi, Loongson Technology, and others declined. CPO concept stocks showed mixed performance, with Changxin Borch (300548) and Deco Group falling over 10%, while Changfei Fiber (601869) and Tianfu Communication (300394) led the gains.
