Large-Scale "Going Global"
It is reported that RJJ Hotels will subsequently be responsible for the development, preparation support, and operational management of hotel projects in the aforementioned six countries for five brands under Jinjiang Hotels (China): Jinjiang Metropolo, Lavande, Jinjiang Inn,憬阁 (Jingge), and 云居 (Yunju). They will work with the local dispatched teams of Jinjiang Hotels (China) to promote the implementation of new hotel projects.
At the press conference, Malaysian state-owned enterprise Permodalan Satok Berhad (PSB) and the RIYAZ Group signed a joint venture management agreement for the Jinjiang Metropolo project in Sarawak, marking the first entry of the Jinjiang Metropolo brand into Malaysia. Leveraging their strategic partnership, the five "going global" brands of Jinjiang Hotels (China) will gradually be established in Sarawak.
RJJ Hotels signed 11 hotel management agreements and memoranda of understanding with several Southeast Asian hotel owners and investors on the spot. The fastest project, the Jinjiang Metropolo Luang Prabang project in Laos, is expected to open early next year.
The RIYAZ Group, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, owns five hotel brands: The RIYAZ, Dash, The Pure, TAN YAA, and Vivids HOTEL, covering economy hotels to luxury resorts. Its projects are mainly distributed in Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, and other regions, including heavy-asset investments and light-asset management projects.
Jinjiang Hotels (China) has over 30 brands, covering all categories from luxury to economy. In the future, Jinjiang Hotels (China) will adopt a "light-asset entry + local rooting" model to build an integrated self-sustaining management mechanism in Southeast Asia for development, preparation, and operation. In addition to collaborating with RIYAZ for expansion, they will also dispatch independent teams to Southeast Asia to form localized teams combining Chinese and local employees. This will accelerate the scaling and implementation of the aforementioned five "going global" brands, integrate with the local market, independently develop more brands, and achieve a total of 500 hotels in the Southeast Asian market within five years (including independently developed projects and projects in cooperation with RJJ). Currently, dispatched management teams have been deployed in markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
Zhou Wei, Vice President of Jinjiang International Group, stated: "Southeast Asia is our strategic growth market. Cooperation with the RIYAZ Group will help our long-term market layout in the region, introducing global resources and providing innovative hotel solutions for regional development."
