Trump Issues Another Warning: If Putin and Zelensky Do Not Meet, There Could Be "Severe Consequences"!

According to comprehensive reports from CCTV News and other media, on August 25 local time, U.S. President Trump stated that Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky should meet.

He indicated that if Putin and Zelensky do not hold a meeting, there could be "severe consequences"; the U.S. might intervene in one or two weeks.

Trump also said, "I don't know if they will meet."

"I believe we can resolve this war, we can finish it. I don't know if they will hold a meeting. Maybe yes, maybe no. They want me to participate. I said, 'You should resolve this issue yourselves. This is between you, not us,'" Trump stated.

Trump also mentioned that he has maintained communication with Putin since the Alaska summit.

"Every conversation with Putin has been pleasant, but unfortunately, a bomb hit Kyiv or someplace, and I was very angry about that. I think we will eventually end the war. It's tough," Trump said.

The U.S. and its European allies agree that a meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian leaders is the necessary next step for negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

On Sunday local time, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov poured cold water on the possibility of an imminent meeting between Russian President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky during an interview, stating that there are currently no plans for a meeting.
