China’s First Commercial Electric Fixed-Wing Aircraft Accelerates Mass Production

Hefei, Aug. 19 (China News Network) — Reporter Zhang Jun: Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry (Hefei) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry”) officially announced on the 18th that the aviation battery for the Ruixiang RX1E series electric fixed-wing aircraft, along with the whole aircraft, has been granted the airworthiness certificate by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). This marks the entry of China’s first commercially available electric fixed-wing aircraft, the Ruixiang RX1E-A, into the accelerated mass production phase.

The Ruixiang RX1E-A is China’s first electric fixed-wing aircraft with completely independent intellectual property rights. Its equipped ZLEP aviation battery is the only “dual-certified” product in China that has passed both the AS9100D aerospace quality management system certification and the aviation battery airworthiness certification. It features high energy density, high safety, high rate capability, and fast charging. The battery has an energy density of up to 320 Wh/kg, can be charged to 80% within 15 minutes, and maintains high-rate discharge even at low power levels. This not only significantly improves the aircraft’s endurance and power stability but also ensures safety through a thermoelectric separation structure and distributed redundancy design.

As a key vehicle for the commercialization of the low-altitude economy, the Ruixiang RX1E-A has a maximum range of 280 kilometers, a cruising speed of 120 km/h, an endurance of 150 minutes, and supports 5-minute quick battery replacement. With zero carbon emissions and low operating costs, it can meet diverse scenarios such as primary pilot training and aerial experience. To date, the model has received over 100 confirmed orders and more than 1,000意向 orders, steadily entering the phase of large-scale operation.

Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry is building a diversified product matrix. The multi-rotor eVTOL “Que Fei” has initiated airworthiness certification and is expected to enter market operation in 2026. The tilt-rotor eVTOL ZG-T6 targets intercity low-altitude transportation, and the full-scale engineering prototype is about to undergo key test flights. Zero Gravity Aircraft Industry will collaborate with relevant enterprises and research institutions to promote the application of domestic battery, motor, and electronic control systems (the “three electric systems”) in aviation scenarios, forming a full-chain synergy from “R&D-manufacturing-airworthiness-operation.” (End)
