Tether's financial performance and asset reserves have reached new historic highs. According to the financial report for the first three quarters of 2025 released by Tether Attestation, Tether's net profit for the year has surpassed $10 billion, marking the most outstanding performance in the company's history. As of September 30, 2025, Tether's global user base has exceeded 500 million, and the company holds $6.8 billion in excess reserves as a financial buffer, further solidifying its stable position in the market.

In 2025, Tether issued over $17 billion in new USDT, driving the total circulation of USDT to surpass the significant milestone of $174 billion, consolidating its position as the world's leading stablecoin. Even more notably, Tether's exposure to U.S. Treasury bonds also reached a historic high. By the end of the third quarter, its total direct and indirect holdings of U.S. government debt amounted to approximately $135 billion, making it one of the largest holders of U.S. Treasury bonds globally, ranking 17th in the world, even surpassing South Korea.

Tether's asset portfolio has also become more diversified. In addition to its substantial holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds, Tether has made significant investments in gold and Bitcoin, with reserves of $12.9 billion and $9.9 billion, respectively. These two assets account for 13% of its total reserves. These investments not only provide diversified security but also further enhance Tether's ability to respond to market volatility.

From the liability perspective, Tether's financial structure also demonstrates relatively robust performance. The company's total liabilities amount to $174.445 billion, with the vast majority, $174.357 billion, related to issued digital tokens. It is worth noting that, as of the end of the third quarter, Tether's asset value exceeded its liabilities by $6.778 billion, indicating that the company's current financial condition maintains a positive capital buffer, fully safeguarding its users' funds.

Overall, Tether's financial report for the first three quarters of 2025 shows strong growth momentum. Whether in terms of profitability, asset reserves, or market leadership in stablecoins, Tether has demonstrated exceptional strength. This performance not only confirms its position as a leader in the stablecoin sector but also provides greater confidence to investors and users in the market.
