The basic medical insurance fund overall operated stably.

　　Data released on the official website of the National Healthcare Security Administration indicates that regarding the basic medical insurance (including maternity insurance) pooling fund revenue, the revenue from the basic medical insurance for employees (including maternity insurance) pooling fund was 1195.462 billion yuan, and the revenue from the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents pooling fund was 685.532 billion yuan.

　　From January to August 2025, the expenditure of the basic medical insurance for employees (including maternity insurance) pooling fund was 881.188 billion yuan, of which maternity insurance benefit expenditures were 89.039 billion yuan; the expenditure of the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents pooling fund was 662.032 billion yuan.
