Venezuela Announces Stronger Measures in Response to US Military Threats
Venezuela's ruling United Socialist Party held a special plenary session on the 11th local time to discuss issues such as responding to US military threats. Venezuelan Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace Remigio Ceballos stated at the meeting that the US is attempting to escalate the conflict, and Venezuela will adopt stronger response measures.
Venezuelan Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace Remigio Ceballos: "We must transition from a peaceful revolution to an armed revolution, to wage an armed struggle for the homeland, independence, and sovereignty, against the oppressors."
US President Trump claimed in early September that the US military had attacked a "drug-trafficking vessel from Venezuela" in the southern Caribbean, resulting in 11 deaths. Venezuelan Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace Remigio Ceballos pointed out that the US sank an ordinary fishing boat in the southern Caribbean, with no one carrying drugs, and the US attack was a "murder" of civilians. Participants believed that the US's true goal is to obtain Venezuela's resources such as oil, natural gas, and gold.
Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez: "The use of warships to attack and attempt to attack Venezuela is driven by ulterior motives and hidden agendas. This is a conspiracy to promote regime change in Venezuela, not to combat drug trafficking. We have long made this clear."
CCTV Correspondent Lionel: "US aggression seems imminent, which is the conclusion drawn from the discussions at the special assembly of Venezuela's ruling United Socialist Party. Based on this assessment, the assembly formulated a strategy to counter the aggression, transitioning from a phase of peaceful struggle to a phase of armed struggle."
