
President of Kazakhstan Announces Comprehensive Promotion of National Digitalization
Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced on the 8th that an Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Ministry will be established to build a complete digital asset ecosystem, with plans to transform Kazakhstan into a fully digitalized country within three years.
Tokayev delivered his annual address to the parliament that day, setting strategic goals for key areas such as economic diversification, transportation and logistics, innovation development, and agricultural transformation.
According to local media reports, Tokayev proposed a series of measures for digital transformation, including passing the "Digital Code" as soon as possible, establishing the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Ministry, and recommending the creation of a national digital asset fund.
In the field of investment, Tokayev emphasized that efforts will be made to further improve the investment environment, optimize investment policies, and attract more funds into the processing and manufacturing industries.
Tokayev also stated that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative has helped Kazakhstan consolidate its position as a vital land bridge in Eurasia. The next step for the Kazakh government will be to promote digital transformation in the transportation sector and develop modern logistics.
