Industry Accelerates Growth! Chip ETF (159995) Takes a Breather, Rockchip Rises 3.12%

On the morning of September 8, the three major A-share indices showed divergent trends. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.21% intraday, with healthcare, shipping, fertilizers, and pesticides among the top gainers, while communication equipment and motorcycles led the declines. Chip technology stocks experienced volatile divergence. As of 10:15, Chip ETF (159995) fell 0.79%, while its component stock Rockchip rose 3.12%, OmniVision Group rose 2.73%, OmniVision Group rose 2.73%, and GigaDevice rose 2.64%. However, Cambricon-U and Maxscend performed poorly, with changes of -5.89% and -2.03%, respectively.

Broadcom released its Q3 FY2025 earnings report: revenue for the quarter reached $15.95 billion, a YoY increase of 22%, setting a record, driven by growth in custom AI accelerators, network infrastructure, and VMware businesses. Additionally, Montage Technology released its 2025 interim report: revenue for the first half reached 2.633 billion yuan, a YoY increase of 58.17%; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 1.159 billion yuan, a YoY increase of 95.41%.

Huajin Securities stated that under the wave of artificial intelligence represented by large models like GPT and Gemini, training data and parameter scales are growing rapidly. With the optimization of deep learning algorithms and the maturation of models, the computational demands for training and inference by reasoning AI agents have increased by orders of magnitude, driving up demand for custom ASICs. It is recommended to focus on investment opportunities brought by custom ASICs, including computing chips, PCBs, and optical modules.
